Large-Eddy Simulation: PALM work group & junior research group
Our research focusses on studies of micro- and mesoscale turbulent atmospheric boundary layers using LES. Current projects are listed below. Other parts of our work include advancements of our simulation system PALM, in particular the development of highly scalable and parallelized methods for all parts of the simulation process chain (numerics, I/O, and visualization).
Since June 2016, the PALM group is supported by a junior research group, who focuses on the development of an urban climate model based on PALM.
