A prototype of a multidirectional spectroradiometer (MUDIS) has been developed at the IMUK. The instrument is capable of measuring spectral sky radiance in a wavelength region of 300 to 600 nm in 113 directions of the sky simultaneously in less than two seconds.
Between sunrise and sunset MUDIS performs instead of 1-50 measurements (former measurement systems) up to 20.000 measurements of sky radiance. The high temporal and spectral resolution of MUDIS in the UV range of the spectrum is worldwide unique.
